Easy way to configure synergy to share mouse and keyboard among several PCs

Synergy is a small cross-platform (Linux, Mac, Win) utility which allow users to use one mouse and one keyboard across several desktop systems.

In this post I would like to show you how it’s easy to set it up on two linux machines.

On debian based machines you have to

  1. Install synergy on master and slaves machines – apt-get install quicksynergy
  2. Run quicksynergy on master and slaves
  3. Configure master and slaves according to the picture below
  4. Move mouse of your master computer on the edge of the screen selected (right on this case) and you will see the pointer move on the slave screen.
  5. Enjoy!
