Win32 Steam client on Linux

A few weeks back, by mistake I bought Tropico 4 on Steam.
When I realized that there was no version for Linux I got frustrated.

A few mins back I tried a way to get it working on my linux box.
The first attempt to install it was faking the OS detection of the linux native steam client using a python script which creates a manifest file for the game. Unfortunately it didn’t work with the latest release of the client.
Then I have approached ad different way: Wine.

By simply running “winetricks steam” I got a working windows steam client on my linux machine.
I managed to download and install the game without any problem.

Now I have to go a game is waiting to be played! Cheers!
